I first discovered my gift of music during my grade school years when I created melodies for the poems that we read in class. Often ridiculed by my classmates, my teachers would allow me to continue singing the poems on a limited basis and with the recommendation that I join the school chorus. Thus, the beginning of my musical career.

I continued to write songs as they came out of my heart and soul throughout my life, and stored them in boxes along the way. Many song lyrics are written on note paper and  napkins. Many of these songs are still in the idea stage and need to be finished, which I'm working on now.

The catalyst for me to get serious about my gift of music was during a "jam" session in the Tennessee home of my friend and musician on July 28, 2024. It was here that I realized how much fun and rewarding this hobby could be. So I dusted off my piano and guitar and went to work to become a singer songwriter.

As a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, I learned how to formally structure my compositions. I also learned the importance of telling a story with a "hook", and appealling to the listener's emotions. I do not share any of my compositions until I am satisfied these requirements are in place along with a captivating melody.

My songbook of music compositions include the genres of Americana, Country, and Rock and Roll. I am the composer of each song, creating both lyrics and melodies.

Now after years away, I’ve returned to my music with renewed passion and purpose, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
